Habanero's food is VERY fresh and VERY delicious! Seriously I can not say enough about how good the food really is. And the prices and proportions are perfect! The owners and staff are always attentive, helpful and friendly! Food usually arrives 5 to 15 minutes after you order. The restuarant is very clean and comfortable. Habanero's is wheelchair accessible. They have street parking but not their own parking lot.
Muchos Gracius! Best Authentic Mexican Food, Cooked by Mexicans, Served by Mexicans. In a hokey Mexican atmosphere. Prices are fair and a good value. Yes, they have Jarritos soda pop, as well as Corona and other beer. I am basing this review on 5 or 6 visits here last 5 months. The place is generally clean. Old does not mean dirty. If I were the owner I would rip out the commercial brown carpet and replace with Mexican tile. Put Mexican blankets on the tables then place glass over it. Just to spruce up the spartan decor. But alas... I am not the owner. Service has been great , either by the gentleman or the gals. I hope nobody here gets deported, hard working folks. It is not Albertos in Merida, Mx....but pretty close. The restaurants around here are mostly below average, and servers don't have a clue. Habernaros the exception. Hungry to return. KC... the Floridiot.

To chilaquiles in Sunnyside. To the hands of my ancestors who knew how to cook with soul. The steak was tender, kissed by its own oil—not too much, just enough to say, “I was made with care.” The salsa was spicy in all the right ways. And the tortillas—yellow, honest, and straight from Del Milagro in Chicago—wrapped it all up like a warm embrace from the past. I’m deeply grateful to the universe for guiding me here. This place doesn’t just serve food—it delivers memory, comfort, and a flavor that hits you right in the spirit. I give it six stars. Not for perfection, but for truth. After a long day of tubing Habaneros was the perfect dinner spot! The food was fresh and affordable. Our waitress was also very attentive! Definitely recommend!

Delicious food, excellent service! This is a great choice if you're riding the Railway as they have a large dining area and fast service. Their verde sauce is very tasty. Chips and salsa were great too!
